UST Tiger Fencers finish 2nd anew

February 13, 2016, 7:47p.m. - THE UST Tiger Fencers duplicated their second-place finish last year at the conclusion of the UAAP Season 78 fencing tournament held at the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagle Gym Saturday.

UST clinched three silver medals and three bronze en route to a final tally of 6-7-8 gold-silver-bronze medals. 

The University of the East Red Warriors extended their championship streak in the men's division to four straight titles and eight consecutive championships in the women's division. 

UST's Maylene Pailma, Cherie Mañago, Dyren Faith Peñaflor and Eileen de Guzman fell short against UE in a nailbiter, 42-45, in the women’s team sabre finals.
