Cignal TV will become the broadcast home of both the UAAP and the NCAA after securing new partnership agreements with the country’s two major collegiate leagues.
The network has served as the UAAP’s official broadcast partner since October 2020 and renewed that agreement in April, during UST’s hosting of Season 88, extending coverage through Season 93. Far Eastern University is set to host Season 89.
GMA Network previously held the NCAA’s television broadcast rights. Cignal signed its broadcast partnership with the NCAA on Wednesday, July 15, with the agreement taking effect in Season 102, which opens on Sept. 13, 2026.
“We’ve long been eyeing the NCAA to be added to our growing roster of sports properties. Here at Cignal, we are sports, and we welcome you to your new home,” Cignal TV Chairman Manny Pangilinan said.
The two-season deal covers the NCAA’s marquee events, including the men’s basketball tournament, women’s volleyball competition and the cheerleading championship.
“We will cover it in all our platforms. And one of the more important platforms where we will be pushing NCAA would be in YouTube—which according to our spot gets the most number of views. And we are going to promote it in our Cignal Play,” MediaQuest President and Chief Executive Officer Ricky Vargas said.
Cignal broadcasts UAAP games on free television through One Sports, while also offering high-definition coverage and 24/7 collegiate content on the subscription-based UAAP Varsity Channel.
