Feb. 28, 2015, 8:13 p.m. - THE UST Tiger Spikers will miss a shot at the UAAP crown after an 18-25, 23-25, 23-25 defeat against defending champion National University Bulldogs in their do-or-die Final Four match at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Saturday.

The second-seeded Tiger Spikers squandered a twice-to-beat advantage to a more experienced NU squad, which will try to claim its third consecutive championship against Ateneo De Manila University in a finals rematch.

NU edges Tiger Spikers to force rubber match

Feb. 24, 2015, 5:07 p.m. - TWO-TIME defending champion National University erased the UST Tiger Spikers' twice-to-beat advantage with a 26-24, 28-26, 23-25, 25-21 victory in the Final Four of the UAAP Season 77 men's volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena Wednesday.

UST had the chance to win the first two sets of the match, but the Tiger Spikers crumbled down the stretch and allowed the Bulldogs to complete their comebacks.   

Tiger Spikers crush Bulldogs in straight sets

Jan. 25, 2015, 1:56 p.m. - THE UST Tiger Spikers smashed two-time defending champion National University in straight sets, 25-19, 28-26, 25-23, to open the second round of the UAAP Season 77 men's volleyball tournament at the San Juan Arena Sunday.

With the vicotry, UST joined Ateneo at second place with a 6-2 win-loss record, while NU remained tied with Adamson for first at 7-2.

In the third set, middle hitter Jason Sarabia uncorked an off-the-block spike to give the Tigers Spikers a 21-16 lead .

NU breaks Tiger Spikers’ win streak

Dec. 6, 2014, 11:17 p.m. - THE UST Tiger Spikers saw their winning streak come to an end after falling to defending champion National University in five tough sets, 22-25, 20-25, 25-23, 29-27, 5-15, in the UAAP Season 77 men’s volleyball tournament at the San Juan Arena Saturday.

Down two sets to none, the Tiger Spikers gained momentum as Mark Alfafara and team captain Romnick Rico caught fire to help UST survive in the third set, 25-23.

Alfafara continued his scoring barrage in the fourth set as he unloaded nine points, the last one coming off a cross-court hit, to help the Tigers force a deciding set, 29-27.
