The UST Junior Tennisters logged their third straight loss after falling to De La Salle-Zobel (DLSZ), 3-0, in the UAAP Season 88 boys’ tennis tournament on Wednesday, March 14, at the Colegio San Agustin-Bulacan Tennis Court.
The Junior Tennisters fell to fifth place with a 1-3 slate, while DLSZ improved to fourth with a 2-2 record.
UST’s Rastan Baje faltered against DLSZ’s Jairo Flores, 7-5, 7-6, then La Salle’s Raphael Wong delivered a 6-2, 6-2 win over Nico Olalia.
In the lone doubles match, the DLSZ pair of Flores and John Ocampo completed the sweep with a victory over UST’s pairing of Baje and Olalia, 6-4, 6-2.
UST will next face the UE Red Warriors on March 15 at the same venue.
