Lady Trackster champ anew in Palawan leg

FOR THE second time, a Lady Trackster walked away with the gold medal in the qualifying leg of the 36th National Milo Marathon at Puerto Princesa City in Palawan.

Jila Dela Cruz bested a pool of 6,000 runners last Sept. 22, recording her second consecutive championship in the 21k run.

The 18-year-old Trackster finished the race in 1:35:59, a few ticks away from second-placer Marichel Maestro who had 1:47:00.

The victory booked her a ticket to the national finals against 18 leg winners from 17 different cities at the MOA grounds in Pasay city on Dec. 9. Hedrix Ar-ar C. Caballe
