A THOMASIAN has ranked first in the speech language pathologist board exams, with four others also making it to the list of top 10 examinees. 

Ashley Sia led the fresh crop of speech language pathologists after scoring 88.50%. 

Vinz Chan notched the No. 4 spot after scoring 87.00%, followed by Edrian Espinosa who clinched the No. 7 spot with an 85.75% score.

Annie Beltran also joined the list of Thomasian topnotchers, placing ninth with a score of 84.50%.

Kathleen Torres notched the 10th spot in a tie with Sofia Fajardo of University of the Philippines (UP) Manila, with a score of 84.25%.

UP Manila and Cebu Doctors University tied as top-performing schools, after both recorded a 100% passing rate. 

UST’s latest passing rate dipped to 93.57% from the 100% it recorded in November 2024, when 55 of 55 examinees made the cut.

The nationwide passing rate stood at 91.55% (130 out of 142), a lower figure compared with the 95.03% (153 out of 161) it recorded in the 2024 exam cycle. 

The licensure examinations for speech language pathologists was held on Nov. 13-14.
