THREE UST journalism alumni received distinctions at the 34th Business Journalism Awards, organized by the Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines (EJAP), on Oct. 24. 

Jasper Arcalas of The Philippine Star, a lecturer in the Journalism department and a former Varsitarian Filipino writer, was named Agriculture/Mining Reporter of the Year, marking his fourth consecutive win.

Meg Adonis of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, a 2017 journalism graduate, was awarded Capital Markets Reporter of the Year.

Lorenz Marasigan of Business Mirror, who graduated in 2013, received the Reporter of the Year award for the telecommunications and transportation beat.

Established in 1972, EJAP is the organization of journalists covering the  Philippine economy and business sector.
