THE UNIVERSITY has appointed five new administrative and academic unit officials at the UST Manila and General Santos (GenSan) campuses, the Office of the Secretary General announced in a circular on Aug. 19.
Among the new appointees in the Manila campus is Fr. Narciso Estrella Jr., O.P., who was officially named vice rector of the UST Central Seminary.
Science teacher Reuben Atayde was appointed school secretary of UST Senior High School.
Asst. Prof. Katrina Topacio, who previously served as the assistant director of the UST Research Center for Social Sciences and Education, was named officer in charge, following the appointment of Prof. Jeremaiah Opiniano as chair of the Department of Journalism of the Faculty of Arts and Letters.
Dr. Maria Christina De Leon is the new assistant director of the UST Health Service.
Fr. Ferdinand Bautista, O.P. was appointed head of farm affairs at UST GenSan.
Bautista formerly served as regent of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) and the rector and president of UST Angelicum College.
Asst. Prof. Maria Cecilia Tio Cuison has been named property custodian of UST Manila, the Varsitarian has learned.
