THE UNIVERSITY has appointed 12 new officials to various administrative and academic units, the Office of the Secretary General announced in a circular on Jan. 1.
Among the new appointees is Michelle Avila, who will serve as the college secretary of the College of Commerce and Business Administration, replacing Assoc. Prof. Marie Antoinette Rosete, who was appointed assistant dean.
Asst. Prof. Francis Lawrence De Jesus, the former assistant dean, will serve as acting director of the Human Resource Department, replacing Assoc. Prof. Maureen Gelle-Jimenez, who is now the program quality management officer at the Office of Planning and Quality Management.
Prof. Donald Manlapaz will serve as acting dean of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences, succeeding Prof. Anne Marie Aseron who had held the post since July 2017.
Assoc. Prof. Rodel Canlas is the new university-level chair of the Department of Psychology.
Fr. Quirico Pedregosa, O.P. will be the acting regent of the College of Science, replacing UST Secretary General Fr. Louie Coronel, O.P.
Assoc. Prof. Angelie Bautista will take charge as acting director of the Counselling and Career Center.
Jonah Casilla was appointed project manager of the Facilities Management Office.
Prof. Ma. Frieda Hapan has been named director of the Center for Continuing Professional Education and Development.
Edmund Tucay is the new college secretary of the College of Information and Computing Sciences.
