THE UST Junior Marketing Association (USTJMA) defended its title at the 34th Agora Youth Awards, winning the championship for the second consecutive year.
The seven-member team of Aretha Alvarez, Adelene Naig, Marcelita Escat, Peter Chavez, Leona Adaya, Cyra Hilario and Patricia Bagsic emerged on top of 10 finalists from across the country.
For the competition, the team developed a case for Newport World Resorts (NWR), proposing a strategy that would integrate its services and offerings into a “connected resort experience.”
“The team did not propose to reinvent Newport World Resorts’ current provisions; the team proposed a cohesive ecosystem,” the team told the Varsitarian. “By bringing NWR’s existing offerings, people, business needs, and experiences into one ecosystem.”
The members said they honed their individual skills through practice cases and mentorship sessions in preparation for the competition.
“Everyone has brought something different to the table,” the team said. “And from a group of unique individuals came something even greater: the strongest output we could create.”
USTJMA also placed fourth in the Individual Awards category through former president and previous Agora Youth Awards champion Naj Fernando.
The latest victory followed USTJMA’s championship in the 33rd Agora Youth Awards in 2025, which ended a four-year title drought.
The team described the back-to-back championship as “both a celebration and a responsibility.”
“There is never one true assurance that we can garner the top spot yet again next year. That is why we believe in learning with humility,” it said.
The Agora Youth Awards, organized annually by the Philippine Marketing Association, recognizes outstanding marketing students and organizations in the country.
This year’s awarding ceremony was held at The Vestibule of the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
