CLASSES for Academic Year (AY) 2026-2027 in the Manila and General Santos (Gensan) campuses will begin on Aug. 7, according to the collegiate calendar released by the Office of the Secretary General on Friday.
Both UST Manila and GenSan campuses will hold freshmen onboarding activities starting Aug. 3 with the UST Cloud Campus orientation, followed by the virtual “ROARientation” on Aug. 4.
The Misa y Discurso de Apertura or the Mass of the Holy Spirit and the inaugural lecture is scheduled for Aug. 5.
The in-person ROARientation and welcome concert will take place on Aug. 6.
As in the previous academic year, classes will open on Aug. 7, but will be suspended the following day in observance of the feast of St. Dominic de Guzman, founder of the Order of Preachers.
The Manila and GenSan campuses will hold Term 1 preliminary examinations on Oct. 9 to 10 and Oct. 12 to 13, while final examinations are set on Dec. 14 to 17.
The Undas break for Thomasians has been shortened to Oct. 30 to Nov. 3, compared with last academic year, when it was extended until Nov. 4.
The Paskuhan festivities are slated on Dec. 18, a day earlier than last year’s schedule.
Registration for Term 2 will begin on Jan. 11, 2027, while regular classes will resume on Jan. 13, 2027, earlier than last year’s Jan. 16 reopening.
UST Manila will hold its Term 2 preliminary examinations on March 18 to 20, while final examinations start on May 10 for graduating students, and May 26 to 29 for undergraduate students.
For UST GenSan, Term 2 preliminary examinations will be on March 17 to 20, while final examinations are set on May 24 to 28.
The Holy Week break will be observed from March 22 until March 27, 2027.
The 2027 Student Awards Day will be on May 21, and the graduating Class of 2027 will attend the Baccalaureate Mass on May 28. Solemn investitures or graduation rites will begin on June 1, 2026.
Registration for the 2027 special term will be from June 7 to 8, with classes beginning June 9, 2027.
Similar to the current academic year, AY 2026-2027 will have a total of 208 school days.
