THE UNIVERSITY kept its 11-year streak as the top nursing school in the country, with all 168 Thomasian examinees passing the November 2025 licensure examination for nurses, including eight topnotchers.

UST tied with 14 other schools, which had 100 or more examinees, at the No. 1 spot. 

Leading the new crop of Thomasian nurses was Alexis Sandra Mangaoang with a score of 93%, good for fifth place.

Sharing the No. 6 spot were FJ Bantugan and Althea Ysabel Macagba, who both scored 92.8%.

Two Thomasians ranked seventh: Maria Allyssa Causapin and John Carlo Colacion who both got a 92.6% rating.

Aristephanie Navarro and Anne Margaret Tayer ranked No. 9 with 92.20%.

Sofia Pabilico landed on10th place with a score of 92%.

Johannah Acevedo of West Visayas State University – La Paz was this cycle’s topnotcher with a score of 93.8%. 

The national passing rate improved drastically to 90% (40,692 of 45,192) from 64.4% (6,935 of 10,769) in May 2025. 

The licensure examinations for nursing were conducted on Nov. 4 and 5.
