THE UNIVERSITY ranked sixth in the May 2026 chemical engineering licensure examinations, with 8 out of 10 examinees passing.
UST recorded an 80% passing rate, down from the November 2025 rate of 89.7% (52 out of 58).
UST tied with the University of Saint La Salle at the No. 6 spot.
Bren Ebriega from the University of the Philippines Diliman led the batch of new chemical engineers, scoring 90.80%.
The national passing rate decreased to 77.61% (565 out of 728), from the previous examination cycle’s 79.01% (719 out of 910).
The May 2026 licensure examinations for chemical engineers were held from May 20 to 22.
