THE UNIVERSITY ranked third in the February 2026 Master Plumber licensure examinations, posting a 93.48% passing rate.
A total of 43 out of 46 Thomasian examinees passed the board examinations.
UST improved its passing rate to 93.48% from 83.33% (25 passers out of 30 examinees) in the February 2025 cycle, and remained as the No.3 top-performing school in the country.
Ed Ryan Ruales of the Cebu Institute of Technology University placed No. 1 after scoring 87.85%.
Camarines Norte State College – Daet and University of Perpetual Help System – Laguna were the top-performing schools, which both recorded 100% passing rate.
Former Varsitarian art editor Allan Christopher Sayat was among the successful examinees.
The national passing rate improved to 61.76% (2,030 of 3,287) from 44.17% (1,475 of 3.339) in the previous cycle.
The master plumber licensure examinations were administered on Feb. 19 and 20.
