THE UNIVERSITY produced 150 new certified public accountants (CPAs) in the 2025 licensure examinations for certified public accountants.
This number came from a pool of 193 Thomasian examinees, good for a 77.72% passing rate, and surpassing its 74.02% (94 of 127) rating in the last examination cycle.
UST alumna Alexandra Simone Rosacia led the new crop of Thomasian CPAs, ranking ninth nationwide with a score of 89.50%, sharing the spot with five other examinees.
Mike Ronel Castro of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University led the new batch of CPAs with a rating of 91.83%.
Bicol University-Daraga emerged as the lone top-performing school, with 56 out of 66 examinees making the cut, good for an 84.85% passing rate.
The national passing rate rose to 34.02% (3,460 of 10,171) from 33.11% (3,156 of 9,533) in the previous cycle.
The October 2025 licensure exams for certified public accountants were conducted from Oct. 24 to 26.
