THE UNIVERSITY produced 17 new chemical engineers in the May 2025 licensure examinations, good for a 77.27% passing rate. 

The number of passers came from a pool of 22 examinees. 

UST’s passing rate slid from November 2024, when it logged a 89.33% passing rate, or 67 passers out of 75 examinees.

Patricia Soriana of De La Salle University (DLSU) Manila topped the examinations after scoring 88.60%. 

The University of the Philippines (UP) Los Baños (32 of 32), DLSU Manila (23 of 23), and UP Visayas in Iloilo (23 of 23) were named the top-performing schools. All recorded perfect passing rates. 

The national passing rate rose to 75.34% (602 of 799) from 72.34% (688 of 951) in the previous cycle. 

The May 2025 licensure examinations for chemical engineers were conducted from May 21 to May 23.
