THE UNIVERSITY produced 41 new electrical engineers in the April 2026 electrical engineer licensure examinations.
The number of Thomasian passers came from a pool of 52 examinees.
UST logged a 78.86% rating, a dip from the 89.13% (41 of 46) rate recorded in the August 2025 examination cycle.
John Veluz Labrador of the University of the Philippines Diliman is this cycle’s topnotcher, with a score of 94.25%.
The University of the Philippines Los Baños emerged as the top-performing school with a 98.15% passing rate.
The national passing rate for the April 2026 electrical engineer examinations rose to 57.49% (3,769 of 6,556), an improvement from last year’s 38.92% (1,240 of 3,186).
The April 2026 electrical engineer licensure examinations were held on April 21 and 22.
