FIFTY-TWO out of 58 Thomasian examinees made the cut in the November 2025 licensure examinations for chemical engineers, or a  passing rate of 89.7%. 

UST’s latest passing rate was higher than the 77.27% it logged in the May 2025 cycle, where 17 out of 22 Thomasians passed. 

Former Varsitarian photography editor Jeremy Edera was among the successful examinees. 

Abell Armamento Alacantara of Batangas State University-Alangilan led the batch of new chemical engineers with a score of 90.3%. 

UP Diliman (110 of 110), De La Salle University-Manila (27 of 27), and Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (11 of 11) emerged as the top-performing institutions with 10 or more examinees with at least an 80% passing rate. 

The national passing rate stood at 79.01% or 719 out of 910 examinees. 

The November 2025 licensure exams for chemical engineers were conducted from Nov. 19 to 21.
