THE UNIVERSITY produced 74 new certified public accountants (CPA) in the May 2026 certified public accountant licensure examinations, out of a pool of 115 examinees.
UST recorded a 64.35% (74 of 115) passing rate, down from the 77.72% (150 of 193) passing rate recorded in the November 2025 examination cycle.
James Al Serondo of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman led the batch of newly minted CPAs, scoring 91.17%.
UP Diliman emerged as the sole top-performing school, with 53 of its 54 examinees making the cut, good for a 98.15% rating.
The national passing rate fell to 30.83% (3,004 of 9,745) from 34.02% (3,460 of 10,171) in the previous examination cycle.
The May 2026 CPA licensure exams were held from May 24 to 26.
