THE UNIVERSITY produced 74 new civil engineers in the March 2026 licensure examinations for civil engineers.
The newly minted professionals came from a pool of 139 examinees.
UST’s passing rate dipped to 53.24% (74 of 139 examinees) from the 73.21% (159 of 209 examinees) recorded in the November 2025 examination cycle.
Rico Elau of Cebu Technological University topped the examinations with a score of 94.10%.
The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao emerged as the top-performing school after 113 out of its 139 examinees passed, resulting in a 81.29% passing rate.
The national passing rate rose to 35.05% (6,438 of 18,370) from 30.39% (4,268 of 14,043) in the previous examination cycle.
The March 2026 licensure examinations for civil engineers were held on March 26 to 27.
