A TOTAL of 6,963 Thomasians graduated from UST in Academic (AY) 2024-2025, according to data released by the Office of the Registrar to the Varsitarian on July 1, the end of the month-long solemn investiture rites.

The number of Class of 2025 graduates was 7.5% higher than the 6,477 graduates in AY 2023-2024.

The Faculty of Engineering, which offers six degree programs, produced the most number of graduates this year with 745  — an 18.63% increase from 628 graduates comprising the Class of 2024.

It was followed by the Faculty of Arts and Letters with 705 graduates across 13 programs.

Five degree programs under the College of Commerce and Business Administration produced a total of 646 graduates, a 19.19% increase from 542 last year.

For the Faculty of Pharmacy, the number of graduates was 598, while the College of Science and the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management logged a total of 558 and 527 graduates, respectively.

College of Information and Computing Science graduates climbed 56.23% to 414 from 265 last year.

The College of Nursing saw a 29% drop in graduates, at 177 in 2025 from 252 the previous year.

The number of graduates from other academic units are as follows:

  • Faculty of Medicine and Surgery – 408
  • UST-Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy – 400
  • College of Fine Arts and Design – 377
  • College of Architecture – 318
  • College of Education – 282
  • College of Rehabilitation Sciences – 272
  • Institute of Physical Education and Athletics – 63
  • Conservatory of Music – 59
  • Faculty of Philosophy – 19
  • Faculty of Theology – 41
  • Faculty of Canon Law – 12

Among post-graduate academic units, the Graduate School logged the biggest jump in the number of graduates with 220, a 189.47% increase from 76 last year.

Graduates from the Faculty of Civil Law fell 17% to 105 from last year’s 127.

The Graduate School of Law recorded 17 graduates.

UST’s month-long solemn investitures started on May 31 and culminated with the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery on July 1 at the Quadricentennial Pavilion. with reports from Marco Luis D. Beech and Mabel Anne B. Cardinez
