THE MASTER of Laws program of the UST Graduate School will now be offered in Quezon Province under a partnership between UST and Lucena-based Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation.
Under the agreement, Enverga faculty members, alumni and lawyers in Quezon Province will be able to pursue their graduate-level legal studies offered by the UST Graduate School of Law through the Enverga Law School.
Rey Oliver Alejandrino, dean of the Enverga Law School and also a faculty member at the UST Graduate School of Law, said UST would implement the program, while Enverga would help recruit students.
“The LL.M. program will certainly make them more competent in the practice of the legal profession, which includes teaching in the academe as envisioned by the Legal Education Board (LEB),” Alejandrino said in an article on the Enverga website.
UST Graduate School of Law Regent Fr. Dexter Austria, O.P. and Dean Jacqueline Lopez-Kaw signed the agreement on Nov. 13 in Lucena.
Jason Barlis, chairperson of the LEB, which regulates legal education, was also present at the ceremony.
Earlier this year, UST partnered with the University of Batangas to offer the Master of Laws program.
