FILIPINO Dominicans are set to reflect on hope in the traditional “Siete Palabras” or the Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ on Good Friday, April 18 at Santo Domingo Church in Quezon City.
Now in its 30th year, the longest-running Lenten program on Philippine television will carry the theme “Krus ni Hesus: Bukal ng Pag-asa.”
Seven Dominican preachers will share their reflections on the Seven Last Words:
- Prior Provincial Fr. Filemon Dela Cruz, O.P.;
- UST Secretary General Fr. Louie Coronel, O.P.;
- Fr. Ian Joeffrey Melendres, O.P. of the Convent of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag;
- UST Angelicum College Rector Fr. John Stephen Besa, O.P.;
- Fr. Tereso Campillo, Jr., O.P. of the Institute of Preaching;
- Fr. Rambang Ngawan, O.P. of the Rumah Santo Tomas in Surabaya, Indonesia; and
- Fr. Julius de Sagun of the Priestly Fraternities of St. Dominic and rector of the Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, Binakayan, Kawit.
The program will be aired nationwide on GMA Network and Radyo Veritas 846: Ang Radyo ng Simbahan. It will begin at 12 p.m.
The Dominican Province of the Philippines and affiliated communication ministries will livestream the program via Facebook and YouTube.
