Music faculty, students to render classics of Camille Saint-Saens

FACULTY members and students of the Conservatory of Music will pay tribute to the music of renowned French composer Camille Saint-Saens in the annual “Tribute to the Thomasians” concert on March 12 at Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater) of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).

Titled “Mostly Camille,” this year’s edition will feature a repertoire of Saint-Saens’ classics including the Concerto No. 4 in C minor, Op 44.

Under the batons of professor Herminigildo Ranera and oboeist Reynato Resurreccion Jr., the UST Symphony Orchestra will perform with Music faculty members Peter Porticos, Randy Gilongo and Victor Victorino.

“Tribute to the Thomasians” is an annual concert of the UST Symphony Orchestra, a resident performing group of the CCP, together with professors of the Conservatory of Music.
