Thomasians dominate the first Filipino-Korean film “You With Me,” a movie where the cultures of the Philippines and Korea collide.

“We are very particular in showing the beauty of Philippines and Korea,” director Rommel Ricafort said in an interview with the Varsitarian.

Ricafort, a student at the UST Graduate School, spent a year to film “You With Me” with his wife, Shine Ricafort, a UST alumna, as co-producer.

The film is a collaboration among Gitana Film Productions, RR Films/Entertainment and Korea’s Film Line Pictures Production Ltd.

Filipino actress Devon Seron appears as the leading lady, with Korean actors Hyun Woo and Jin Ju Hyeong as male leads.

The movie unfolds as Kim (Seron) becomes the online tutor of Jason (Hyun Woo). She decides to escape the strict grip of her parents by going to South Korea, where she meets Jason personally.

The film also stars Thomasian Hazel Faith de la Cruz, who sang the film’s theme song.

Other Thomasians who are part of the production team include DJ Jimenez and Arnold Naval, co-producers; Trina Gorayeb, wardrobe design, Vida Aenlle, production supervisor and Sheila San Diego.

“You With Me” will premiere on Sept. 27 at the TriNoma Mall Cinemas.
