May 16, 2015, 1:44 p.m. - LEARN how to love and give life.

This was the message of UST Rector Fr. Herminio Dagohoy, O.P. to the 8,048 graduating Thomasians during the 2015 Baccalaureate Mass held at the open field Friday night.

“Learn how to love… You come to the University not just to accumulate information without knowing what to do with it, but through the love, let that information bear fruit,” said Dagohoy, who quoted Pope Francis’ speech during his encounter with the Filipino youth last Jan. 18 in the University.

Feb. 19, 2015, 3:30 p.m. - FOLLOWING  the recent Mamasapano massacre, Thomasians were urged to seek the path of repentance especially in times of sinfulness and violence.

In his homily during Ash Wednesday Mass that started the Lenten Season, Vice Rector for Religious Affairs Fr. Filemon Dela Cruz, O.P. said the killing of members of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force (SAF) during a clash with Muslim rebels in Mamasapano, Maguindanao last month was  proof of man’s weakness toward sin.

Nov. 28, 2014, 9:52 a.m. - UST RECTOR Fr. Herminio Dagohoy, O.P. has been appointed to the Conseil Scientifique of the École Biblique et Archéologique Française de Jérusalem (Scientific Council of the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem).

According to the official Facebook page of UST, Fr. Bruno Cadore, O.P., master of the Order of Preachers, named Dagohoy, the 96th rector of UST, to the council for a three-year term starting Nov. 21, 2014.

Oct. 30, 2014, 10:45 a.m. - A FIRM but compassionate man, Fr. Frederik Fermin, O.P. -- the second Filipino rector of the University of Santo Tomas—nurtured countless individuals as an epitome of a "true servant of Christ."

In his homily during the funeral mass for Fermin at the Santisimo Rosario Parish Church this afternoon, UST Rector Fr. Herminio Dagohoy, O.P., praised his predecessor for exemplary service to the University.

“Fr. Fermin’s contributions in the academic section of the University expressed his ideals of a well-rounded education for the Thomasians,” Dagohoy said.

4 Agosto 2014, 10:52 p.m. - GAGAWARAN ng honorary doctorate sa humanidades ang tagapangulo ng Metrobank Group of Companies na si George Ty para sa kanyang mahahalagang kontribusyon sa pag-unlad ng bansa.

Idaraos ang pagbibigay-parangal sa ika-7 ng Agosto sa Medicine Auditorium, sa pangunguna ng Rektor P. Herminio Dagohoy, O.P. at Secretary General P. Winston Cabading,O.P., kasama ang dekano ng Faculty of Arts and Letters, Michael Anthony Vasco, at ang rehente na si P. Joseto Bernadas, O.P.

Itinatag ni Ty ang Metrobank, ngayo'y isa sa mga pinakamalalaking bangko sa bansa, noong 1962 sa edad na 30.
