A MEMBER of the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena has been appointed international promoter of justice and peace.
Sr. Cecilia Espenilla, O.P. will serve the post in the Dominican Sisters International beginning Sept. 1. She will replace Sr. Celestina Veloso Freitas of Brazil.
Espenilla obtained her bachelor’s degree in accountancy in UST and holds a degree in theological studies from Ateneo de Manila University.
Espenilla is coordinator of Talitha Kumi Philippines, an organization of consecrated religious that aims to counter human trafficking and abuses.
