July 30, 7:11 p.m. – THE UNIVERSITY emerged as the second top-performing school in the July 2011 Nutritionist-Dietitian Licensure Examination, while two Thomasians made it to the top 10.

With 69 out of 74 successful examinees, the University had a 93.24 percent passing rate, slightly higher than last year’s 93 percent passing rate.

This year, the national passing rate was lower at 66.97 percent, compared with last year’s 70.4 percent.

Riz Ivana Lagamayo Teng tied with a student from the University of the Philippines–Diliman at sixth place (84.95 percent), while Johanna Lois Estrada Pinca placed ninth (84.70 percent).

This year, there were 69 passers out of 72 first-time examinees, equivalent to a 95.83 percent passing rate. Two repeaters from UST failed the exam.

Last year, only one Thomasian made it to the top 10, placing fourth.
