06 July 2012, 03:55 p.m. – THE THOMASIAN Welcome Walk will be held on the eve of the feast of St. Dominic de Guzman, the Secretary General has bared.

Fr. Winston Cabading, O.P. told the Varsitarian that Aug. 7 is the nearest possible date for the yearly event due to Rector Fr. Herminio Dagohoy, O.P.’s busy schedule.

“The Rector is set to meet with the Academic Senate and then go abroad in the following weeks,” Cabading said in a chance interview.

The annual tradition of freshmen passing through the Arch of the Centuries was scheduled last June 29, but was postponed due to bad weather.

The secretary general also said there will be no classes on Aug. 8, the feast of St. Dominic, founder of the Order of Preachers. Nikka Lavinia G. Valenzuela
