THE UNIVERSITY has named three new administrative officials for UST General Santos City (GenSan) and UST Santa Rosa.
In a circular dated Jan. 30, the Office of the Secretary General (OSG) announced the appointment of former Commerce dean Assoc. Prof. Leonardo Canoy as officer in charge of the UST GenSan School of Business and Accountancy.
Asst. Prof. Fredeswindo Medina, former director of the Office of Alumni Relations, will be the acting director for student admissions and records at UST GenSan.
The first UST Entrance Test, or USTET, was administered at the Mindanao campus on Jan. 13.

Shikara Poblete of the Department of Civil Engineering was named project management assistant for UST Santa Rosa.
Officials recently broke ground for the UST-Dr. William T. Belo Interdisciplinary Research Institute, which is set to rise at the Santa Rosa campus in two years.

The return of Assoc. Prof. Dennis Coronacion as chair of the Department of Political Science was likewise announced through the circular. He replaced Asst. Prof. Louie Ignacio, who was named faculty secretary of the Faculty of Arts and Letters earlier this month.
Veteran educator Marivic Torres was also named assistant principal of UST Junior High School.
