THE UST Growling Tigers handed McDavid a 21-point beatdown on Monday, 111-90, in the Philippine Basketball Association Developmental League at the Jesus Christ Saves Global Outreach gym in Quezon City.
The Tigers remained at second place with a 5-1 win-loss record, while McDavid dropped to 1-6.
Leading 31-22 in the second frame, UST uncorked a 9-1 run, capped by a floater from Dave Ando to pull away for good.
The Tigers outhustled McDavid in the rebounding department, 58-37.
Soulemane Chabi Yo had a double-double outing of 25 points and 15 rebounds, while Marvin Lee added 17 markers for UST.
Rev Diputado and Jason Melano had 18 points apiece. for McDavid.
Up next for the Tigers are the Che’lu Bar and Grill Revellers on May 6, Monday, 4 p.m., at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
