REIGNING MVP Grace Irebu scattered 33 points and the UST Growling Tigresses dominated the Ateneo Lady Eagles, 91-73, to keep their unblemished 3-0 record at the Araneta Coliseum Wednesday.
The Tigresses tightened their defense in the third quarter and used a 13-5 run to erect a 20-point lead, 67-47.
Tantoy Ferrer posted a double-double with 13 points and 18 rebounds while Lon Rivera added 18 points for UST.
Lady Eagle Alyssa Villamor had 17 markers and six boards.
The Growling Tigresses will next face the defending champions National University Lady Bulldogs at Sept. 15, 2 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena.
