THE UST Golden Tigresses secured a Final Four berth after demolishing the De La Salle University Lady Archers, 71-49, at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion Wednesday.
The Tigresses’ defense limited La Salle to a 22-percent shooting from the field. UST overpowered the Archers in both ends of the court in the second half, allowing just 21 points while dropping 33.
The Tigresses scored 30 points off 28 La Salle turnovers.
Graced Irebu finished with a double-double outing of 13 points and 16 boards while Tantoy Ferrer and Ruby Portillo chipped in 12 points apiece.
Maureen Okoli posted 11 points for the Lady Archers.
The Tigresses now have a 10-3 win-lose record behind the undefeated National University. La Salle dropped to fifth place with a 6-6 slate.
UST will next face the Adamson Lady Falcons on Oct. 26, Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Araneta Coliseum.
