The UST Tiger Cubs, representing David Roxas Construction, clinched the Milcu X Gotskills “I Got Next” 19U title on Oct. 9 after a dominant 86-67 victory over TYJ in the finals at Greenhills West, San Juan.

Holding a six-point lead at halftime, 44-38, the Tiger Cubs used a 42-29 second half to win the finals.

Mark Llemit led the Tiger Cubs with 19 points, seven rebounds and eight steals.

The Tiger Cubs also had productive outings from Charles Bucsit, who scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Carl Manding, who had 12 points and six rebounds, and Brix Reyno, who had five points and 14 rebounds.

TYJ was led by Nash Tiongco who had 15 points.

The Tiger Cubs outrebounded their opponents, 59-45, and capitalized on their strong inside presence with 40 points in the paint.

They also scattered 33 markers off 21 TYJ turnovers.

Former Growling Tigers head coach Jinino Manansala is the head coach of the Cubs.
