UST HAS declared Thursday to Saturday (Nov. 30 to Dec. 2) “Yellow Days” in support of the Salinggawi Dance Troupe, who will participate in the UAAP cheerdance competition on Saturday.

The cheerdance competition will be on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena. Salinggawi, which made its first podium appearance in five years last season, will be the last team to perform.

During yellow days, members of the Thomasian community are encouraged to wear their yellow clothes.

The Office of the Secretary General announced on Tuesday that the three yellow days are included in a series of weeklong events known as “SalinggaWeek.”

The UST Yellow Jackets are set to perform a cheer drum exhibition daily from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2 following the Angelus at the Plaza Mayor.

For two days, on Nov. 28 and 29, a short prayer will be broadcast through the University paging system following the 3 p.m. Divine Mercy and 6 p.m. Angelus.

Salinggawi will hold its pep rally at the Quadricentennial Pavilion on Thursday, Nov. 30, starting at 6 p.m.

During the evenings of Dec. 1 and 2, the UST Main Building and the Arch of the Centuries will be bathed in gold illumination, set “against the backdrop of the night sky’s black canvas.” Salinggawi’s performance will follow a Blackpink theme, and their hashtag for the event is #BlackGoldinYourArea.

“#BlackGoldinYourArea epitomizes Salinggawi’s remarkable journey, embodying a stunning performance and a profound narrative of resilience, passion, and sportsmanship; let’s rally behind our team with a resounding roar,” Secretary General Fr. Louie Coronel, O.P. said in a circular.

The selling of the official Salinggawi support shirt will be until Saturday. Check the details below:
