TEAM CAPTAIN Hazel Lustan’s late conversion propelled the UST Lady Booters to a 1-1 draw against the Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles in the UAAP Season 81 women’s football tournament at the Circulo Verde football pitch Wednesday.
With the Lady Booters down 1-0, Lustan fired an equalizer in the 86th minute to keep UST in the hunt for a finals spot.
Ateneo’s Pam Diaz struck a tap-in goal in the 31st minute after the ball rebounded off UST keeper Nicole Reyes.
The Lady Booters improved to second place with a 2-2-1 win-draw-loss record for eight points, while the Lady Eagles remained at fourth place behind a 1-1-3 slate for four points.
Up next for UST are the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws on April 27, Saturday, 3 p.m., at the same venue.
