A LONE goal by Lady Tamaraw Elna Bongol powered the Far Eastern University past the UST Lady Booters, 1-0, in the UAAP Season 81 women’s football tournament at the Circulo Verde football pitch Saturday.
Bongol scored the only goal of the match in the eighth minute after escaping UST keeper Beatriz Sacladan.
The Lady Tamaraws improved to second place with a 3-1-2 win-draw loss record for 10 points, while the Lady Booters slid to third behind a 2-2-2 slate for eight points.
UST will have to beat defending champion De La Salle University on May 1, Wednesday, 3 p.m., at the same venue for a chance to vie for a finals spot.
