Golden Booter Chris Valderama’s lone goal forced a draw for UST against UP Fighting Maroons, 1-1, in the Ang Liga Season 19 men’s football tournament at the UP Diliman Football Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Valderama haggled to provide the goal for UST in the 45th minute, tying the game at one goal apiece at halftime.
UP’s Mikheil Legarde notched the match’s first goal in the 28th minute to give the Fighting Maroons a 1-0 lead.
Both UST and UP kept the 1-1 deadlock and went scoreless in the second half.
UST tallied a 1-2-0 win-draw-loss record, while UP had a 2-1-2 slate.
The Golden Booters will next face the UE Red Warriors at the same venue on Sept. 16, Saturday, at 4 p.m. J.L.E. Quinto
