THE UST Golden Booters settled for a 2-2 draw with the FEU Tamaraws in their second-round encounter in the UAAP Season 86 men’s football tournament at the UP Diliman Football Pitch on Sunday, April 14.

FEU rookie Nicko Mamon completed his brace with a goal in the 86th minute that forced the draw.

UST dropped to solo third with a 5-3-2 win-loss-draw record (17 points), one point behind the second seeded UP Fighting Maroons. FEU remained atop the standings with 22 points built on a 7-1-1 card.

Mamon drew first blood in the 18th minute, 1-0.

Kyler Escobar tied the game at 1-all after converting in the 38th minute. Two minutes later, UST took the lead by one courtesy of Chris Valderama.

The UST Golden Booters will go on a long break before facing the cellar-dwelling Adamson Soaring Falcons at the same venue on April 25, Thursday, at 4 p.m.
