WINNING a UAAP general championship is no small task. It takes a conscious effort from every athlete for a university to achieve such an accomplishment. For 30 years now, UST has dominated the league. Here’s what Thomasians have to say about the feat:

“I’m very proud. It just shows that Thomasians are not only inclined mentally but also physically. It shows our versatility in any kind of field. This achievement will further our interest to participate in extra-curricular activities that will help us become well-rounded individuals.”

Ellen Go, Faculty of Pharmacy

“Approve! I think UST deserves it. Kahit dinadaya-daya na tayo ng mga kalaban.”

Augusto Santamaria
Head Coach, UST Women’s Volleyball Team

“Nagulat ako roon. Akala ko hindi aabot. Natakot ako baka makuha ng La Salle o UP. Masaya ako kahit hindi kami nakapasok ng finals, nanalo pa rin tayo.

Alwyn Espiritu

“Lagi naman, nakakasawa na nga eh. Paano na kapag player pa ako?”
– Emer Jayson Fabro, College of Commerce

‘Ano yan eh. Institusyon na. Nakapatong na yan eh. Marvelous!”
– Jojo Arce
Head Coach, UST Men’s and Women’s Judo

“Deserved ng Thomasian athletes ang mag-overall champs kasi we possess the heart of a tiger. Malakas ang fighting spirit. Pero sana maging eye-opener sa lahat na di lang basketball ang UAAP. Marami pang events ang UAAP. History speaks for itself na ang reason kung bakit nag-o-overall champion ang UST ay dahil din sa mga ibang events.”

Ivy J. Valle
Team Captain, UST Women’s Table Tennis

“I’m proud to be a Thomasian. Hindi nasayang iyong pagko-cover ko rati ng mga events kasi laging panalo.”
