THE UST Junior Golden Tigresses prevailed against the University of the Philippines Integrated School, 25-5, 25-10, 25-13, in the opening of the UAAP Season 79 girls’ volleyball tournament at the Adamson University gym today.
UST rookies dominated the game as Baby Love Barbon scored eight points while Jenesa Eslapor and Janna Torres contributed six points apiece.
UP was unable to answer the Tigresses’ offense as UST tallied 16 aces and seven kills, most of them coming from Barbon and reigning MVP Eya Laure.
“The consistency is there, their maturity and experience is present today and we hope it continues,” UST head coach Emilio ” Kung Fu” Reyes Jr. said in an interview.
