THE UST Golden Tigresses booked a ticket to the finals of the Philippine Super Liga Collegiate Grand Slam after trouncing the University of the East Lady Warriors, 27-25, 19-25, 25-14, 25-20, at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex Tuesday.

The Tigresses remained atop the standings with an immaculate 4-0 win-loss record while UE fell to 1-3.

Lady Warrior Judith Abil’s service error in the fourth frame sealed the deal for UST.

Team captain Tin Francisco’s off-the-block kill in the third canto allowed the Tigresses to grab a commanding 2-1 set advantage.

Leading 22-19 in the second salvo, UE ignited a three-point swing, capped by a mishit from Milena Alessandrini to equalize the game at one set each.

Back-to-back kills from Francisco and Dimdim Pacres gave UST the upper hand early.

Eya Laure had 15 points for the Tigresses while Francisco added 14 markers.

Abil paced UE with 15 points.

The Tigresses will end the elimination round against the winless De La Salle University-Dasmariñas Lady Patriots on Dec. 13, Thursday, at the same venue.
