THE UST Golden Tigresses kept their unblemished record after routing the De La Salle University-Dasmariñas Lady Patriots, 25-15, 25-16, 25-20, in the Philippine Super Liga Collegiate Grand Slam in Muntinlupa Thursday.

The Lady Patriots committed 31 errors compared to UST’s 21. The Tigresses finished the elimination round at first place with an immaculate 5-0 win-loss record while La Salle remained winless in four outings.

An Eya Laure crosscourt kill in the third canto sealed the deal for UST, 25-20.

With a slim one-point lead in the second set, 14-13, the Tigresses uncorked an 11-3 run, capped by Caitlyn Viray’s through-the-block hit to take a commanding 2-0 set lead.

Lady Patriot Eunice Castillo’s service error ended a 16-6 bomb by UST that broke a 9-all deadlock in the opening salvo.

The Tigresses fired 42 attack points while La Salle only had 14. UST also dominated the service department with 10 aces. The Lady Patriots had five.

Milena Alessandrini spearheaded UST with 11 points. Laure and Ysa Jimenes had 10 and nine markers, respectively.

Basilyn Delfin had eight points for La Salle.

The Tigresses will face the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons in a winner-take-all finals on Dec. 20, Thursday, at the Arena in San Juan.
