THE UST Sinag Ballroom Dance Company bagged gold in the Standard category and silver in the Latin-American category in the second UAAP Ballroom Formation Dance Competition at the Quadricentennial Pavilion Friday.
UST tallied 89.1 points in the Standard category, while the University of the Philippines scored 85.2 markers for silver.
In the Latin-American category, UP took home its second crown with 89.1 points, while UST and the Far Eastern University placed second and third with 84.8 and 74.4 markers, respectively.
“The team really did their best. They showed great technical qualities specifically on the footwork and all of them blended as one and worked as a unit,” Sinag head coach Lowell Tan said.
The event is still a demonstration sport and will not count in the overall medal tally.
