CJ CANSINO has been named team captain of the UST Growling Tigers in the upcoming UAAP Season 82 after recovering from his left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

Cansino has joined team practices, acing his final hop test in rehabilitation, indicating full recovery.

The 19-year-old forward is the only sophomore tapped to lead the Tigers.

Cansino, a former juniors MVP, averages 12.8 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game in his rookie year.

The Tigers finished 6th last season with a 5-9 win-loss record.
