LAST YEAR‘s courtside reporter, Makyla Chavez, will retain her post for UAAP Season 82.
The sophomore was chosen again after a month-long screening process with ABS-CBN this August.
“After one year of being with our Thomasian athletes, it felt like I didn’t want it to end there just yet because my home teams have already turned into my family. I have a heart with a big space for our student-athletes,” she told the Varsitarian.
The Asian studies student added that she appreciates UST’s athletes and was inspired to be the person to share their stories.
The 19-year-old said that she went through the audition process again despite being the courtside reporter last season.
Chavez will report again for UST in the opening ceremony of UAAP Season 82 this September 1 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
