The UST Lady Booters dropped their PFF Women’s Cup 2022 opener after bowing down to the Tuloy Football Club, 2-1, at the PFF National Training Center in Cavite on Sunday.

UST was up at halftime, 1-0, courtesy of Nathalie Absalon’s clutch goal at the 44-minute mark.

But Tuloy’s 13-year-old striker Louraine Evangelista scored back-to-back goals in the second half to turn things around and clinch the victory.

UST tried to force a draw in the additional four minutes of the match but failed to deliver.

UST asst. coach Geraldine Cabrera said the team had to adjust their ball distribution and work on their ball control to score more on offense.

The Lady Booters will next face the UP women’s football team at the same venue on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 4 p.m.  John Peter L. Cajayon
