The UST Golden Tigresses failed to secure a spot in the semifinals of the V-league Women’s Collegiate Cup after falling to the Adamson Lady Falcons in a sweep, 25-15, 25-15, 25-22, at the Paco Arena on Wednesday.

With UST down by two sets, 0-2, Camille Victoria’s kill gave the Tigresses’ their  first lead in the third set, 21-20.

But Adamson’s Trisha Tubu and Lucille Amonte answered with back-to-back kills to regain the upper hand, then the Tigresses committed two consecutive attack errors to hand Adamson the match point advantage, 24-21.

Adamson was called for a net touch violation, but Almonte’s crosscourt kill sealed the deal for the Lady Falcons for good, 25-22.

Imee Hernandez and Victoria led the Tigresses with 10 points apiece.

Adamson’s setter Louie Romero was named Player of the Game with 20 excellent sets, while Tubu scored 13 points.

The Golden Tigresses ended their V-League campaign with a 1-2 win-loss record, while Adamson improved to 2-1 and will advance to the semifinals. John Peter L. Cajayon.
