The UST Junior Golden Booters faltered against the DLSZ Green Booters, 1-3,  in the second round of the UAAP Season 85 boys’ football tournament at the UP Diliman Football Stadium on Sunday.

The Junior Green Booters scored two goals in the first half courtesy of Jian Vinz Caraig’s conversion in the fourth minute and Alonso Aguilar’s goal in the 22nd minute.

Dominic Tom scored the lone goal for the Junior Golden Booters in the 66th minute but Caraig shut down UST’s hopes for a comeback after scoring another goal in the 70th minute.

“May mga chances din kami pero hindi na-convert. Then, we had a chance sa penalty kanina pero hindi na naman binigay,” UST head coach Marjo Allado told the Varsitarian.
