The UST Sinag Ballroom Dance Company bagged two silvers and one bronze in the UAAP Season 85 Ballroom Formation Dance Competition at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion on Saturday.
UST captured two silver medals in the Mix Category and the Standard Category, tallying 86.7 points and 76.2 points, respectively.
UST took home the bronze medal in the Latin-American category with 84.7 points.
The University of the Philippines Ballroom Formation emerged as champions after sweeping all the categories.
UST head coach Lowell Tan said he was proud of the performance of the team and he is looking forward to the next season.
“For me they are champions, kasi they did their best, they did well completely. I will work on to something better next year, and we’re going to be aware of whatever is needed to be addresses,” Tan told the Varsitarian.
There were only four universities that participated in this year’s UAAP Ballroom Formation Dance Competition.
